— The Journal —

On the slowness of making well.

It takes our weavers in Bhuj six days to finish a single bolt of the linen we use for the Amrita dress. It takes a tailor in our Bandra atelier two more days to cut, sew, and hand-finish a single piece.

We do not believe in trends. We believe in clothes that you will wear, mend, and pass on.
